GOAT App lets you virtually Try-On Shoes through AR

The app of the popular sneaker store GOAT received a new update that allows you to try on sneakers through AR using your phone’s camera.

GOAT Group represents the leading platforms for authentic sneakers, apparel, and accessories. Operating two distinct brands – GOAT, the global platform for style and Flight Club, the original sneaker consignment store – GOAT Group has a global community of over 25M members across 164 countries. The greatest selection from the past, present and future are displayed on company-operated mobile apps, e-commerce sites and retail stores. Through its innovative technology and service, GOAT Group has changed the landscape of commerce, converging the primary and resale markets.

The feature, called AR Try-On, doesn’t let you try every sneaker available in the app. It’s only available via the home screen and operates separately from sneaker browsing and shopping. At the moment, the feature is clearly only intended for you to play around with some rare shoes in AR. It’s foreseeable that in the future GOAT might roll the feature out to the actual shoe listings in the store, where it would have a more practical use.

"Product innovation has always been an integral part of our business and after early success with our previous AR launches, we knew Try-On was something we had to offer our community," said Daishin Sugano, GOAT Group co-founder and CPO. “We’re committed to the sneaker culture and hope our new feature will elevate the experience of discovery for our community.”
